What Does membership of a modelling group mean to you? It can mean different things to different people. By going along to your monthly meeting you can do just as little or as much as you like within the scope of the society; you can participate in the modelling demonstrations and the friendship that being a member offers, or become much more involved by joining the Committee. Being a Gravesham Military Modelling Society member opens many doors, such as visiting other groups and competing in a meaningful manner with other people whose interests are similar to your own, or you could spend some time manning our stand at one of these events. (This certainly brings you into contact with other modellers and you will find yourself answering numerous questions.)
We as a group use this particular means as a shop window, to advertise ourselves and show other groups what Gravesham Military Modelling Society can do.
The time spent talking to visitors in this way often results in recruitment of new members, and you may be surprised to learn that we have found the majority of our membership in this way.
Demonstrators are the focal point of our meetings and the knowledge gained from these demonstrations can be the most beneficial way of improving your skills and is especially useful to any newcomers to the hobby.
